This is from the 25 Essential Expression Challenge which is circulating around DA right now. It’s actually a very good exercise, and if anyone feels that they’re lacking on their facial expressions, this is a fun way to test yourself. It was actually a lot harder than I thought it would be (especially trying to draw pleased and happy, which can look very much the same if not done right).
A lot of people are just drawing their art in the squares using their tablets... but I just have problems drawing fine line-art on the computer (see my journals for more detail), so I actually enlarged the squared, printed them out, drew in them with a pencil and ink pen, scanned them back in, and resized them to fit the spaces before coloring. Lol. A lot of work over something which doesn’t need it. I just like the tactile feel of drawing though... it’s hard for me otherwise... Anyway...
