"A Boy and his Blob" was an obscure cult classic on the NES. By feeding the blob jellybeans, he would transform into helpful things like ladders, springs, holes, etc allowing you to access hard to reach areas and solve the game's labyrinthine puzzles.
It was recently remade for the Wii by gaming studio WayForward.
Edit: This comic, while simple, went through a LOT of changes before reaching it's final stage. The text was tweaked a lot, one panel was changed completely, another was added, and a final one was elongated. The layout was changed several times before this version was decided upon, and I had a lot of touch-ups to fix on Brent (I have a tendency to over-poof his beard when inking). I like the colors though, it was fun to be able to work on a more graphical style for the background reminiscent of the original NES games.
Edit2: Red Rum? Haven't any of you seen "The Shining"? Here, i'll give you a hint... read Red Rum backwards...
I remember that movie! Missed the famous part though But this....took me a while to remember where I had heard it before and when it hit me, I couldn't help but smile. Sure the movie freaked me out, but I was in Film Lit. so I mostly already forgot about it xD
