In case you missed it over on tumblr, this is a quick illustration I did to test out some new brushes I got for Photoshop. It's based on a photo I took while I was traveling in Scotland.

The colors are probably still very very much over saturated, but like I said, it's just a test. I don't experiment much with brushes, so this was a rather new experience for me.

I just spent the last two weeks in Scotland for a family vacation/birthday-graduation present for me/birthday present for my dad. It was absolutely gorgeous. I think you did a pretty good job at capturing just a small percent of the country's beauty; however, it is most certainly something that people need to experience firsthand.

If you look closely, there is a face looking to the right. the sections without leaves are his eyes, and he has a really odd haircut, but he's there.
