Cliche acts of Villainy by TomPreston Cliche acts of Villainy by TomPreston
This is an older picture of Ze Pirate and Aliunde from 2003 that I've touched up considerably. I added a lot of little details, changed some of the shadows, added textures here and there, changed the some of the colors, and tidied up some of the linework.

The real Aliunde had been watching some Dudley-Doo-Right, which is what inspired this scene. Back then, we would often come up with ideas of dressing the characters up and playing with fun scenarios.

Very unique illustration. I was researching the history of this gag when I came across this article: thebioscope.net/2010/11/23/tie… it even revealed that the roles of the man and woman in the scene are reversed than it is today.

Y'know, non of these classic cliche acts of villainy( yeah, I used the title) if it weren't for a woodcut which inspired this: [link] and this: [link]
