More Danny and Spot Wii madness!

Helpful Information:
Epic Mickey is a Wii exclusive game which is an attempt to revitalize Mickey Mouse's career and make him relevant to the public again.

Project Natal and the Sony Wand are Microsoft and Sony's attempts to introduce motion controls to their consoles by copying the Wii.

I heard about Epic Mickey, I didn't know it was going to be for the Wii! :eager:

Also, I heard they demo'd the wand and the Natal, but had no games to go with them; just demonstrations that they worked :paranoid:

I wish motion controls would just piss off all together to be perfectly honest. Even with many Wii games using a gamecube controller plays far better and they've had three years to get it right.
It's like they're trying to re-invent the wheel.

Shame about Epic Mickey being a Wii exclusive since I don't have one (though that may change by christmas since my parents want the Wii fit so bad). I still have (and play) the original 8-bit games for the Sega Master System. Excellent platforms, I hope this one is just as good.

some games need motion controls, some work only with them, and others work better without. That's why Nintendo has the Wii Classic Controller just in case. Also why they've perfected motion controls with Motion Plus.

yeah they demo'd them because they're intending to try and muscle in on the Wii's territory down the road.

Not this gen it won't. If they wait until next gen... possibly. But they're trying to get a head start on next gen and in the process are dooming themselves.

Agreed :B
I still don't own a PS3 or xBox, they cost too much; I've also read how they do all of these things that a gaming console doesn't really need to do :paranoid:
PS4 maybe it will clean my house :eager:

True, some games do force you to use the motion controls, which is a shame. Mario galaxy would've been great with a proper joypad instead of having to flail the controller around.
Wii motion plus does look promising and it only took them three years to get the thing to finally do what it was designed to do, capture complex player movements.

Motion controls are still just a fad you have to admit. Joypads allow for greater, more natural control (ironically) and better ergonomics, half the time when I play Wii games I feel like I'm going to develop Carpal tunnel syndrome. haha

I disagree completely.

1. Motion Controls work when games use them RIGHT. I certainly would never play a sports game like Tennis, Golf, or Bowling without motion controls ever again.

2. You barely even have to use the motion controls in Mario Galaxy (and Twilight Princess for that matter). A tiny bit of shaking of the controller to perform a special move is hardly enough to warrant going against ALL motion controls.

3. Motion controls are not a fad anymore than the Rumble Pack was.

4. Motion Plus wasn't economically affordable when the Wii was originally designed. Technology gets better and cheaper over time and I honestly believe that the Wii was a bit ahead of it's time since it's taken so long for developers to "get it"
