I figure folks should be allowed the chance to ask questions. If someone misunderstands something, simply clear it up with a direct reply. If a particular question or complaint shows up often despite there being plenty of instances where the very issue was already addressed, then a FAQ is helpful.

Thats a nice philosophy. but in reality it will only work some of the time. Alot of people like taking little things and making a big deal about it, and no matter how much literal sense and reason you make in your explanations, they will simply never listen.

Then explaining beforehand wouldn't work, either. Better to let them make a fool of themselves than to bog things down with too much explanation up front.  On the other hand, if you have something you want to share about your picture, like any cool tidbits of trivia, by all means.
