SYAC - Clueless by TomPreston SYAC - Clueless by TomPreston

Read the latest “So, You’re A Cartoonist” at the following syacartoonist.com/

I can sometimes anticipate how my comics will be taken by the general public before I post them. But every once in a while some of my comics become instantly popular breaking all sorts of viewing statistics, leaving me scratching my head on what on earth happened. I like it when people enjoy my comics, but not know why something became popular is very puzzling to me.

let me explain a little thing about humor for you. 65% of it come from your expectations. If you wright or draw something that is unexpected even if it makes it doesn't make sense it will be laughed at because no one saw it coming.

I find people in general are not capable of actual logical reasoning.
Emotions are a bitch.

Think you should take the "wheat from the chaff" approach.

.....Please....i'm sick of cornflakes.

Things that puzzle me motivate me to investigate, observe and ponder, and then I usually can find a psychological explanation for it. Often it's not pretty, but it fits.
