How does one convert a comic page into a PDF? I'm not sure how to go about it since there's a risk of crashing the computer or cluttering the hard drive OTL

What makes PDF so special for putting everything into print? How come you cannot use other formats?

Because it's what "the industry" has determined to be the go-to format. Just like TIFF and MP4 files.
