I honestly don’t know why anyone would want drawing advice from the likes of me.

As for backgrounds... They're important and I spend more time on them with Brentalfloss and Alex Ze Pirate and Formera... but I’ve never felt they were always necessary for SYAC.

So this is me making fun of the fact I'm a lazy mofo when it comes to backgrounds. I don't know any comic artist who's actually thrilled with doing them, but overall I think we all could stand to put more effort into them (yes myself included).

I find BGs to be rather fun to draw

Especially if I do them first and leave the character for last as a reward to myself

If I was as good at background (or better) as I am with my drawing individual characters/animals, then I probably would be excited drawing them. And sometimes I get excited at the idea of a background, just never at the implementing after I put the pencil to paper xD

Don't fool yourself! You are an amazing artist, with talent tapped AND yet untapped! Keep on working and you can only get better. I can't do even an EIGTH of the things you can do, although I might be able to do a background if I tried REEEAAALLLY hard.
