When I attended my first pre-college program I imagined my "figure drawing" class was going to be like my High School drawing sessions, where we had a fully clothed model.

I was wrong.

I want to pursue art and my teacher keeps suggesting I take figure drawing classes... I'm just a little skittish about drawing naked people.

Aw man....this gets me thinking.
I signed up for a class in college based around the human figure. I have no clue if we'll have to draw nude people (I really hope not.)

One of my friends had some "figures" on her flash drive for her art project, and when she handed it to the teacher to present it to the classroom, her teacher clicked the wrong file... I'm guessing it was a similar feeling :]

^^ took a full year of this class, now im in clothed figure drawing honestly I hated that class, I dislike the human body details they aren't beautiful. In fact my teacher was happy I drew the people with out nipples and the loins, he said they do distract from the beauty of the overall figure in most cases. but it did help with drawing people, so I recommend it to all artists who draw the human figure, and I'm a super PRUDE in everyway.

I honestly wouldn't care. This class is to help you improve with human anatomy, and is not supposed to scandalous. The prudish people in the comments need to grow up.

You see, if it was someone of the same gender as me, I wouldn't be AS disturbed (seeing as how I see myself naked everytime I change or take a bath) but, nevertheless, DISTURBED. O.o
