People who dress up for conventions get my respect. It takes a lot of guts to walk around in a costume for hours on end, getting weird looks and pictures taken of you.

LOL! I loved this! I cosplayed as Temari from Naruto once, even made a giant fan, dyed and cut my own hair, for a small convention. It was such fun! I felt so confident and badass! I even got my picture in Otaku Magazine! But sadly I live in South Africa, and very far away from the capital cities, so that was the only convention that's ever been nearby, and it was a tiny two-day affair. There were a few other cosplayers, all enthusiastic teens like me, and it was loads of fun. When the resession hit though, Otaku went under. Not enough subscribers. The issue with my photo in it was the final one. So sad! I really hope they manage to get back on their feet someday.
