As previously mentioned in a comic, I dislike leaving my booth for many reasons. I don't usually have someone available to take care of my spot, I don't want to miss potential customers, and often I am just too busy working on commissions or geeking out with fans.

Every now and then an amazing cosplayer will walk by and I desperately want a picture to remember their awesomeness. But despite how very open I am at expressing my opinions on the internet and in my comics, in real life I am very shy... which has led to me missing out on great photo opportunities.

I totally can sympathize with you. There were many times when I was at a con where I've seen a REALLY realistic cosplay, and I wanted to go over and ask for a picture, but I was waaay to shy to go and ask.

But on the bright side, even if I was stuttering and blushing like a moron, I got a hug from Master Chief <3
normally, I just yell "hey *insert name here* I'll give you a free copy of my book/manga/whateves Im selling if you come over here!"

Did you ever 'will' him to come over?

Speaking as a (starting) cosplayer, just scream "Hey! [Insert Character Name]!!!" really loudly and about 4/5 times you'll probably get their attention. xD

Yeah I just started cosplaying too. I think it's really awesome how you can do that and usually people respond. I really want to get a group of cosplayers to go out to dinner or something after a con. In full character, of course. :D

That must've sucked a lot! I love Link cosplays, and I know I would be frustrated in a situation like that :/.

Oh i do that. I was at a japanese festival and there was an axel cosplayer. My friend had to run over to them for me and ask for a picture..... lol

Never been to one, but I can see your point. The only thing is, I wouldn't cosplay if I didn't expect people to look at me, either with admiration or a look that says "Um...I'll cross the street now."
