My art teacher is the same way. XD She respects comic artists, because they do put in a lot of effort for their work, but it's not actual art to her.

I JUST HATE IT WHEN COLLEGES THINK THAT COMIC ISNT ART!!!! thats why u shouldve took illustration, it basically prepares u for comic anyways XD

Tenko, I share your pain.
(When I applied for several schools for creative writing and literature... the reaction to my non-hyper-modernist, non-neo-dadaist and partly fantastic portfolio were... equal (both my preferred genre and my absolute refusal to write in an incomprehensible way were viewed as non-artsy.). ... and now I'm studying history and use it for research for my stories.
