I never watched csi so I don't know what point your trying to make. I was saying that two different nations having different opinions on the same subject can't possibly be hypocritical...because they are two different nations.
if I say drinking pop is bad and then you see jo whats his face drinking pop, you can't call jo a hypocrite because he never said anything about the subject.
At the risk of going on I will mention that japan has many games with over sexed nude males and gay male characters as leads as well as modestly dressed women. You just don't see it because that's not the hot button topic.
Nooo no no you can't say the two differet companies from two different nations on the same subject are being hypocritical. If Richard simons says don't eat junk food then Justin beiber eats a burger you can't say he's being a hypocrite because those two are not the same person. When I say they are two different countries I'm saying that in japan there is plenty of sexual natured games aimed at women and gay men (trust me it's everywhere over there) A fair amount of it starting to head to north America.
There are plenty of people who find Japanese entertainment very enjoyable. Simply thinking that north americans are only dc marvel fans is pretty short sighted. The whole appeal of Japanese games shows and other entertainment is the fact that it is so strange , so bizarre. I really hope this doesn't sound rude but seriously. To be offended by something so comically outlandish is ridiculous. I mean yes it's goofy that's what makes it so funny. I hate to say but the problem is the self entitled attitude of thinking "what upsets me should upset the world". A lot of films and books from other countries are available in north America, films that break the rules of entertainment here but I don't see you getting upset at that or calling that hypocritical. Of course video games are meant for children and should be uplifting and should be educational perhaps at the end of each game they should have Mario tell people not to play with matches.
