Atea is bisexual. It wasn’t something I planned when I created her. It was something that evolved out of her personality. She’s got a crush on Alex Ze Pirate, and to a lesser extent, Sam the Unworthy Slob. Alex likes Sam too, so it’s a kinda strange love-triangle. This comic was done because I just wanted to further Alex’s frustration with being asked out by gay pirates who think she’s a guy, and to show off Atea’s new costume better.
