I think it goes without saying, but this was originally written and posted during the whole Mass Effect 3 ending debacle.

I think in hindsight we can all agree that the hysteria that engulfed that ending was grossly disproportionate and exaggerated... right?

Yes. It was blown completely out of proportion, the entire thing. Probably the only reason there was a big fuss was because everyone wanted their idea of the ending to happen, at least thats how I see it.
