Hmmm now that I think about it this brings up a lot of touche issues.
1. Todays language is changing. Go two hundred years into the future and you wont understand a word anyone says. Now you know how the Greeks would feel if they could see us today.
2. Native Americns were just getting their berings. Give them maybe three hundred years and then it would have been a fight!!

The internet... the real source of "Newspeak"

I actually make an effort to type down real words when I text or talk to people online simply because of things like this.
