Xbox720's potential DRM?
Microsoft's lead creative director Adam Orth got angry over the backlash always online DRM has gotten lately (thanks in no small part to Sim City and Diablo III), and decided to take his frustrations to twitter. Orth made a plethora of sarcastic remarks, insulting people's place of residence, and mocking anyone not rich enough to always have an internet connection. By doing so, not only did he make himself look like an ass, he may have inadvertently revealed that the upcoming XBOX 720 may include always online DRM. Nice...

Since he's made his twitter account personal, you'll have to visit this www.screwattack.com/news/micro… to see a sampling of the remarks he made.

Spammers
Speaking of "unprofessional," what's with the influx of spammers lately?

I know that DA has had long running problems with it, but I just got like 8 spams in a row on just one of my deviations. What is up with that? Has anyone else had or seen this problem?

Nothing more fun than loading up DA, seeing a large number of comments to read after posting a new deviation, and then realizing that 60% of them are spam.

Back
Oh yeah and SYAC is back.

I'm doing both the "classic" SYAC strips and the "new" SYAC strips featuring college bound Emily. They're gonna be posted... whenever I feel like it. As of right now there's a little surge of new strips because I finally got jazzed up enough to want to work on it. I'll wager that energy will wear off in a few days and I'll be back to a more manageable schedule.

There was a new Alex Ze Pirate strip too, but it's not actually new, it's a strip I found when browsing through my computer that I never posted before for some reason. I'm not sure when Alex Ze Pirate will be back, but I would love to work on more stuff soon.

That's it for me, peace out!

As if I didn't have enough lack of interest towards the new Xbox. Always funny, yet sad, to see professionals act unprofessional.

And still looking forward to the moment Emily realizes she's late for class, should be great.

Those spammers have got nothing btter to do.
(if they've got nothing to do, they should be outside doing something)
They're so annoying in every way. Without spammers the internet would be
a better place, Even though I haven't recieved any spam or comments for a while,
I do know how irratating spammers are...

Great to hear SYAC is back, awesome :D
I can't wait to read those comics :)

I end with a positive comment

Influx of spammers and blatantly pornographic pictures. Nothing better than spending hours, days, making a work of art and see it down on the 8th page while some woman who took a picture of her boobs in a mirror with her cell phone is right up there on the first or second page.

The video game industry bubble is about to burst. AAA games are too expensive to produce requiring record sales just to turn a profit. Since those record sales aren't happening, due to the economy and the horrifically lopsided distribution of wealth in this country, they blame the consumers and come out with increasing intrusive DRM and DLC because they know people will buy it anyway. How many people, right now, are going "That's terrible I'll never buy the new xbox with always online crap!" but will still be the first ones in line to buy it when it comes out. The fact that EA is still in business proves that what I'm saying is true no matter how many try to deny it.

The DRM put me off buying Simcity. It was a shame. There really should have been a single player offline mode included. Now I can put up with DRM to a certain extent, but a DRM that requires one to always be online? That's as stupid as region locking (Seriously why force people to buy from one region alone? Don't they realize some games are only released in Japan?). No wonder people mod chip their consoles.

There's a saying I read. "Don't do anything in private (social networks) that would embarrass you if it became public".
