King Arthur's Gold (or KAG) is a 2D side scrolling action adventure game, where two teams must build their own castle before trying to destroy the enemies. It's ridiculously addictive and there are a ton of free servers up and running for instant team battles.

Darcia from Skyrie.net teaches me the very basics of the game in this video, which will serve as a introduction for new players before we get into the more intense stuff.

There are 3 classes to choose from. Knight, Archer, and a Builder. As their names imply, builders build the castle and set traps, Archers fight from a distance by shooting arrows, and Knights jump into the thick of the battle and fight hand to hand. When enough people are playing, the battles can get pretty intense and chaotic.

KAG is a free game for Mac, Linux, and PC. You can also upgrade to a premium account which includes bonus features, classes, and campaigns for $12.99. [link]

News will be posted about our upcoming KAG tournament, where we will be giving away premium accounts to the lucky winners, on [link] so be sure to check out the website and join up!

Happy building!

So it's basically Terraria?

I can't seem to find a game that starts at the beginning. Also can't find one that lets the teams build up defenses.

Unfortunately unless you have your own server, you have to rely on the ones already currently up and running...and those tend to run constantly. That means you'll probably always join in in the middle of a fray, which can be confusing and difficult to survive.

My recommendation is to look for rooms with few people. The fewer people there are, the more likelyhood that the game is just starting, or not very far in.

You could also spectate matches, and wait around till the current one ends.

Not ideal, but I think they're working on it.

I love how you start as this lowly artist, and now you're in videos and stuff. Let's hope it brings more attention to your art.
