My computer completely melted down trying to broadcast the livestream. I'm not surprised, but it is agonizingly frustrating. After spending about 8 hours sketching in that illustration (with only half of the broadcast successfully saved online), having my computer just come to a screeching halt trying to broadcast an empty desktop was just the icing on the cake. Nobody wants to watch my computer take 30 minutes to open a file. Since I won't be able to broadcast any of the inking or coloring parts of the illustration, the event and the stream is effectively dead.
I can't tell you how frustrated I am that all these stupid technical issues keep hindering what should be a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone. I got to about 95% of all Adventure Time characters drawn, with only a portion of the rather vast number of insignificant background characters missing. It's probably one of my most ambitious illustrations to date, requiring me to tape 3 sheets of comic size paper together and featuring over 400 characters.
I wanted to do this as a big event for people to watch and comment and enjoy the work I was doing, with the prospect of earning a little from donations on the side. But thanks to my shitty-ass computer... not gonna happen. So we're gonna call this whole thing an abysmal failure. Livestream won't work. Ustream sucked. My computer can't broadcast anything. There's still a shit-ton of lineart and coloring to do that no one will be able to see me work on...
God damn fuck.
